    Job Profile

    The Documentation Specialist will support a cross functional team on a large federal system development life cycle (SDLC) project, working within agile Integrated Product Teams to develop, maintain and deliver required project, release and sprint documentation as scheduled.


    • Verify technical documentation to ensure correct numbering, formatting, revision accuracy per project requirements and client expectation

    • Review document formats to ensure that they match required output

    • Ensure that documentation is stored in correct location according to version control requirements

    • Distribute technical documentation

    • Maintain document control files and retrieve documentation for users

    • Review pertinent contract portions for information relating to functional execution processes

    • Contributes to setting up the project specific databases and processes

    • Participate in project/team meetings and act as scribe to record meeting activity

    • Scan and print technical document packages

    • Perform other clerical duties as needed / requested


    • Bachelor’s Degree and 1 or more years of experience in supporting project documentation activities along all phases of the agile software development life cycle; or GED plus 4 years of documentation experience in Federal Healthcare IT Projects and/or other government contract project management
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
    • Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate to management, peers and customers as well as demonstrate sound judgment/reasoning skills
    • Expertise with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, etc.)
    • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
    • Expertise with Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, Hipchat, Slack, Waffle and Trello preferred
    • Knowledge of flow charts and UML using Visio or similar tools preferred
    • Knowledge of Healthcare, Medicare & Medicaid systems & data a plus
