    The Research Associate will lead our research team in conducting research and evaluation projects primarily in the area health, specifically related to pharmaceutical health services (e.g., government health care programs, such as Medicare/Medicaid, areas of long-term health care and quality measurement). 

    Responsibilities

    Design and conduct research projects, including:

    • Work with client to explain and analyze the landscape and ecosystem of Medicare, Medicare Health and/or drug plans, and other Medicare related subjects
    • Use their expertise to highlight which specific areas to consider in building the CMS Medicare Coverage Tools (MCT) application, working with the Program Manager and Product Lead to develop business and policy requirements.
    • Develop and implement plans for analyzing Medicare claimsWriting technical reports and proposals
    • Making presentations to government clients

    Qualifications

    Education, Knowledge, and Experience

     

    • Pharm.D. degree or Ph.D. degree in related discipline; OR 5+ years of relevant experience with Master’s degree
    • Must possess subject matter expertise or content knowledge in Medicare, Part D, drugs, drug pricing.
    • Experience and knowledge of data analysis and data management techniques using SAS and SQL
    • Experience working with Medicare administrative claims preferred
    • Experience in preparing proposals and reports.

     Skills

    • Strong quantitative and qualitative skills.
    • Ability to think strategically about research issues and programs.
    • Ability to lead major aspects of a project.
    • Excellent ability to communicate complex technical material, both orally and in writing.
    • Strong writing and editing skills a must.
    • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.
