    IMPAQ is seeking a full-time, Communications Specialist to join its Corporate Communications Department.  We are looking for an enthusiastic person to help support our corporate communications efforts; tell the story of our company, staff, and projects; promote a positive public image of the firm; and disseminate information, externally and internally.


    The ideal candidate will have very strong writing, organization, and interpersonal skills. Experience in corporate communications and project management are important, as is enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be willing to take on small tasks with short turn-around times, as well as complex, long-term projects.


    • Assist in the development of communications and marketing initiatives and programs
    • Support the implementation of internal and external communication plans and activities
    • Assist with the coordination of IMPAQ’s presence at 25+ annual conferences, including exhibit production, registration, advertising, shipping logistics, and set-up/staffing of exhibits as needed
    • Maintain IMPAQ’s social media presence, including writing, editing, and scheduling social media posts
    • Maintain IMPAQ’s external website, including writing, editing, and updating our Content Management System
    • Maintain IMPAQ’s email newsletters, including writing, editing, and managing/updating our email software
    • Coordinate the development, design, and ordering of branded collateral, brochures, and signage
    • Coordinate internal meetings across several offices and time zones
    • Assist with additional marketing, branding, and event-related tasks, as needed





    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Experience with marketing campaigns and content production is required
    • Experience in research, public policy, or government contracting
    • Experience with social media, event management, or content marketing
    • Hands-on experience with marketing and content management tools such as Drupal, Constant Contact, Hootsuite, and Google Analytic is a plus
    • Experience with writing in a corporate setting, or journalism is a plus

    • Proficiency in MS Office
