    IMPAQ International is looking to hire a Recruiting Intern for our main headquarters located in the Columbia, Maryland.

    We help find jobs for candidates in Health Policy, Public Policy, Public Healthcare, Healthcare Administration, and other Research related fields

    Internship will run from approximately February 2019 - May 2019.
    (20-40 hours per week - depending on your schedule)

    If you are interested in gaining experience and improving your skills in the areas of talent acquisition, human resources, research, communication, negotiating and influencing and learning about the full lifecycle recruiting process, this may be the internship for you!

    You should also be interested in working in a fast paced, research consulting and goal-oriented environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Source candidates, learn to review resume and match great candidates to open jobs utilizing ATS (applicant tracking system)
    • Initiate conversation with prospective candidates and manage them through the entire placement process
    • Screen candidates for basic qualifications, interest, salary, availability and more
    • Work closely with HR Business Partner to: develop strategies to generate candidate flow; develop an effective pipeline of key talent available for immediate hire and future hire; meet overall recruiting goals; and maintain effective working relationships with hiring managers
    • Partner with HR Coordinator on scheduling and logistics of all interviews between candidates and hiring managers
    • Understand technical terms and trends
    • Support talent acquisition related events or programs including networking events, career fairs, or internship program

     

    Qualifications

    Education, Knowledge, and Experience

    • Enrolled in a 4 year program working towards a Bachelor's Degree; preferably in Human Resources
    • Strong time management and attention to detail
    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Work well with others or individually in a fast-paced environment
    • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
    • Proficient computer experience to include proficient in the Microsoft Suite

    Desired Qualifications

    • Prior work experience in Human Resources
    • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
    • Analytic skills with the capability to research data and discuss workable solutions
