IMPAQ is seeking a Data Visualization / Dissemination Consultant to lead a workshop that aims to teach project beneficiaries and stakeholders about how to effectively communicate and disseminate labor market findings to a variety of audiences. The Data Visualization / Dissemination Consultant must have a proven history of leading workshops in the international development context.
IMPAQ International is implementing the Northern Triangle Labor Market Information Project in El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala. The project’s objectives are (1) to assist governments in publishing reliable, comprehensive, and current labor market information (LMI) in user-friendly formats for the general public and professional audiences; and (2) to increase the skill and knowledge of educational and workforce development programs, employers, and policymakers on how to use LMI.
To achieve these objectives, IMPAQ is developing ten workshops focused on various LMI-related topics. The seventh workshop will teach project beneficiaries and stakeholders about how to effectively communicate and disseminate labor market findings to a variety of audiences. The workshop will build capacity on data visualization, such as tables and graphs, as well as supporting internal infrastructures such as bulletins, newsletters, and other documents that are prepared and published periodically. IMPAQ is seeking a consultant to lead this two-day workshop in each of the three project countries in May/June 2020.
The consultant will plan and carry out a workshop focused on data visualization and reporting and dissemination strategies. In carrying out this task, the consultant will fulfill the following requirements:
Work with the IMPAQ project team to plan and design workshop inputs, including the agenda, curriculum, PowerPoint slides, a pre/post quiz, and any additional materials, as required.
Travel to Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras to deliver a 2-day workshop in each country (one trip of approximately ten days late May and early June 2020)

This consultancy will last approximately 20 days, including approximately 10 days of travel in late May and early June 2020. The consultant must be fluent in Spanish. English proficiency is preferred, but not required. Applicants with prior experience working with labor market data are preferred.
